TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew testified in front of the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee in a hearing on the app's connections to the Chinese Communist Party on Thursday. During his testimony, Chew denied ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, has any connection to the CCP. Several difficult questions about security and user protection were asked during the course of the five-hour hearing.
