length of median from vertex A = ( 1 / 2 ) * sqrt ( 2*b^2 + 2*c^2 - a^2 )
length of median from vertex B = ( 1 / 2 ) * sqrt ( 2*a^2 + 2*c^2 - b^2 )
length of median from vertex C = ( 1 / 2 ) * sqrt ( 2*b^2 + 2*a^2 - c^2 )

but what happens when the medians are equal in length ?

When you wrote coordinates of P, you assumed that propriety "2:1" was true as an hypothesis, but you want to prove it...
Please can you help me to understand?

maybe assign one of the sides on x-axis, the expression for middle points would be a lot simpler.
