I'm flabbergasted.

I don't know how to say it.

This episode was actually ... good!

Thanks for this vid Captain Foley, It's great to have your and the chats company on Friday mornings. It makes living alone and going back into lockdown here in the U.K a bit brighter for a couple of hours.

I always thought the Federation and Starfleet could go to another member world and "STOP" making Earth an target....

I agree with Matt Mon, regarding the Dilithium crystal. To have ship exploding at the same time seem to be trigger by an explosive device, maybe a present from the temporal cold wars

Regarding Burnham, It's great that the problem before with her was obviously due to the scriptwriters rather than the acting of the lovely Sonequa Martijn-Green.

Personally I think that the way they describe how all active warp cores explode goes along with the fact that dilithium refines the warp process. If a car runs out of fuel, the engine does not blow up. So I can see ships travelling at warp 9 blowing up because the dilithium going inert and the warp core breached due to not being able to deal with the power output. However that doesn’t mean the Discovery writers won’t destroy that logic.

I've liked all three episodes, especially this and the last one. Genuine Trek feeling in this episode. Time to make the Federation Great Again! :-D

I mean...they settled the decade long dispute between Titan and Earth within what felt like 5 minutes but damn did they settle it. What became of the episode 1 Burnham who vaporized dozens of strangers? I don't really wanna know. Keep her and stick to the new one

11:05. Discovery was traveling on impulse power when it was in the Sol system, would have been nice to see it traveling buy Jupiter and then Mars.

1:04:32: I took a closer look at those ships blowing up and did a freeze frame and what they had done was copy and paste some of them, to cut corner, it so didnt look right

What puzzled me was - why not go to Vulcan .

i thought the first 1/3 was awful, but it got so much better as the episode went along. Really good by the end. A little less on the nose about rebooting maybe but i think its in a good place.

this episode was better than i thought, although it still left the question does either Vulcan or Romulas still exist?

4:24 when they were entering the system nothing was said about utopia yards orbiting mars.

Also the tree was in fact CGI. They talked about it on the Ready Room.

It's really hitting the Andromeda vibes, which I find to be a much smarter choice than trying to shoehorn itself awkwardly into old Trek canon.
I always maintained if it was ever gonna hit its stride it would be in Season 3 but wow I didn't expect it to be such a huge pivot in doing so.

The best two places I think starfleet could go and hide in cannon. The Paxons, who are experts in hiding or Aldea who could not only cloak their planet but had the technology to throw the Enterprise 3 day high warp travel away, an could throw the ship a lot further if they wanted to.

People of Earth was the best Star Trek episode in the Discovery series. Jonathan Frakes nailed it. Burnham was great. Saru was great. Book was great. Georgiou was good (not a huge fan of character this season, but she was better in this episode). I loved Stamets in this episode. This is the best Star Trek episode in the Discovery series. Keep doing more stories like this. This is Star Trek.

I was hoping
Boothby would still be alive. With someone commenting that he irreplaceable and never seem to change. In star trek lore there are immortal humans around. An it be a nice mystery for us to talk about and wanting more.
