What I liked was how the crew has been utilized this season. Also I enjoy how the core values of the Federation and Star Fleet being rediscovered by this timeline through Discovery. Instead of the usual watered down values we've seen in other Star Trek series'.

Season 3 so far has exceed my expectations and I find myself wanting to discover this new time line, it seems they are putting more of an emphasis on the characters in Discovery. Season 2 the characters started to grow on me and in season 3 I'm fully invested. I finally care what happens to the crew.

This is the most Trek-like episode to come from Discovery since "New Eden" and "Odal for Charon". BRILLIANT! Love how we're getting to see more of the crew.

I love your commentaries, but you need to increase your volume. Because even with an extra speaker, I can barely hear you.

I finally was able to see the episode due to travel. I loved it! The scene with the EDF Captain was pretty intense. Maybe a little over the top, but does emphasize how isolated and mistrustful Earth had become. I loved the reunion with crew. Yes, of course Burnham would change in a year. She had to adjust. Glad they will give the character a chance to adjust to Discovery's presence. Can't wait until episode 4!

Who else thinks Adira is Dax? She is familiar with 23rd century Starfleet technology... that’s all I have.

Ummm...is it just me or did anyone notice that the 12 year old transmission that admiral Sana Tal sent, there's an overlapping transmission? I hear Nimoy's Spocks voice in the middle of the transmission just after Admiral San Tal voice says "anyone that still believes in us" Nimoy voice says that "the Federation is gone" or something like that....did you guys hear that? I think there is a hidden transmission overlapping Admiral SanTal. Check the Timestamp @6:42 and Nimoy's possible voice 6:50

Also how where the people from Titan humans. And was Burnham able to scan their lifesigns, but United Earth wasn’t able to find out these where just humans? I am sometimes confuze about these omissions in the plot.

You mean to tell me Book-Burn was not a thing?! C'mon! Traveling and bunking for a solid year together would have made for warm bedfellows, unless they're really not interested in each other, but clearly they are. I'd believe a week, maybe a month but not a year!

As soon as I saw it was directed by the man himself, CMDR Riker, I knew it was gonna be a good episode.

Overall I really liked this episode. One thing we all have to remember, this is NOT the Enterprise, it is a scence vessel, so it will not have the best and brightest and the senior officers are NOT Starfleet's finest like Pike and Picard and that sometimes shows. That said, I really liked the epilogue in San Francisco - this is a young enthusiastic crew that is struggling to find its way in the 32nd century - looking forward to watching that journey unfold. Brilliant call to move the show far into the future, perhaps this is where S1 should have started all along!

there are times that I have questioned Sonequa's acting choices, the pauses mostly. But then there are episodes like this.
damn, that girl can act... the difference between year older Michael are stunning and subtle; brilliant, I won't question her chops again.
oh, and I gotta disagree with you about the one year not being long enough. People can change in a week. Who I am now is very different from last year, so I buy it... no beef, just disagreements among fans. 💙
