Why do some people enjoy false doctrine?

Discerning truth from false teaching requires spiritual maturity and a supportive church community. Our hearts' condition can make us vulnerable to deception, as we may seek teachers who affirm our unchecked passions rather than challenge us to repentance. False teachers often twist Scripture to accommodate worldly desires, whether related to sexuality, money, or other pleasures.
