And he didn’t use an absurd amount of weight and destroy his knees

Tom Platz was real witty about the human anatomy and muscles. He was ahead of his contemporaries. He’s still walking today and healthy. It Tells you he knew what he was doing.

That's actually how bronze era body builders performed their squats. That's due to George hackenschmidt being the one who invented the hack squat

Defently did not miss leg day’s. He is one person you do not want to stand next to in a competition, especially when making leg posses. From what I’ve seen he is one of the top performers & all round nice guy.

Wait, but the tear drop muscle is the vastus medialis, not lateralis

Hip external rotation (“standing like a duck”) is supposed to prioritize the inside of the quad (vastus medialis or “teardrop”); the vastus lateralis/“quad sweep” is on the outside of the quad, being prioritized with hip internal rotation (“pigeon-toed”).

For any claiming knee problems or issues from doing this movement clearly has never tried it with correct form and or just talking because you don’t have the confidence in seeing yourself doing such movements … brush up on kneesovertoes guy and I promise you, you’ll retract every single comment you’ve ever made about this specific topic . Kneesovertoes guy had surgeries on his knees was told he’d never play basketball again let alone walk or run comfortably…. And guess what after applying platz variations plus a plethora of other supporting exercises he can now dunk, jump down off a box and let his knees come forward first like we were designed to lol. Seriously cause everytime I see a bunch of comments on this screaming rip knees and such I laugh my ass off cause majority of you are speaking from a inferior perspective. Aka just cause you can’t picture yourself doing it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t and or it’s not good for you/anyone else …
