His cutscene doesnt activate through his hp bar like the fire giant's does. It activates when he cuts his hand off. Killing him b4 the cutscene also saves the dragon's head from being cut

I purposefully skipped godrick’s second phase by using poison mist. You need to do poise damage to him for him to start it so as long as you don’t hit him he won’t go all firey on you. Just let him walk into the mist and then keep distance and avoid him.

You actually can skip fire giants second phase by not hitting his ankle and instead going for the other foot. He'll still get fire incantations, but his cutscene won't trigger.

Fire giant 2nd phase isn’t guaranteed, I’ve one shotted Fire giant multiples times, the AI just bugs for a bit with him rolling and smashing his shield at 0 HP, until he eventually fades and grants u the runes and what not

Ive accidentally skipped godricks second phase some me and the summon staggered him out of his phase transition somehow so we didn't fight phase 2 at all

Bro I skipped his second phase first time I fought him because I used rotten stray/scarlet rot. I didn’t know he had a second phase till my friend fought him
