Both Nikons have 1080p 120 fps!!! Saying that one UHS-I SD Card vs one XQD Card it's a draw is a bit silly..

I don't know what spec sheet you were looking at but the Z6 shoots 1080p at 120 FPS... not 60 FPS. And I suspect the reason it doesn't shoot 720p is because it would be totally redundant seeing as how it does everything in 1080p that the Canon does in 720p.

I'm still leaning towards the Z6 for video. I want to record to an Atomos's SSD's rather than XQD. I will not be taking any photos. Other than the vari-angle touchscreen the Canon doesn't look as good for video. Also, is the Canon limited to SDHC I? Did I read that right?

4:43 this is wrong.. Both Z6 and Z7 does 120fps in 1080p. You need to add text pop up correction to that section of your video as it is misleading...

congrats on the 10k glad to be apart of it. The way I see this is cankon is neck and neck. Canon is probably going more for the stills with nikon going for the all rounder. Canon does have the better lens line up, but are missing 70-200. What i have to wait for is something with full servo focus with the fps of the 7d.

how do you know the canon hasn´t got 10 bit? Cinema C700 camera, shoots 3840x2160 10bit 4:2:2 at 410 Mbps using Intra-frame compression (the IPB). could be the same with the R, which shoots 480 mbps

You are totally right, specs don't paint the whole picture. I own 5d4 for the past two years and I recently added an a73. I do 60-70 weddings per year, 10-20 corporate videos, lot's of stock photography etc... Before I bought the 5d4, I was underwhelmed with the specs. But it turned out to be an incredible workhorse of a camera in the field and I never felt I miss a feature in my professional work for what I do. The a73 is a great camera, lot's of the things it delivers are great, but still the canon is my A camera and I always feel that I'm more comfortable in the field with the canon. The sony is my backup camera and the camera that I most certainly put in my bag for traveling. I guess my point is that every camera has a place in the market and good content creators use whatever is best for the specific jobs. This "mirrorless wars" thing is kind of silly to me and all that "my camera brand has this thing, your camera brand doesn't have that thing" is just an internet exercise that has very little to do with taking good pictures or video.

What about Panasonic full frame camera? Could it compete with Canon and Nikon, and in the meanwhile I'm waiting for the new Fujifilm xt3

We do not yet know details about the "touch bar" on the EOS R but I am a bit sceptical. I often shoot landscapes shots during winter and I need to be able to operate the camera wearing glows. With the current Canon lineup you can use both the touchscreen and physical buttons to most operations. IF the touch bar is used to move focus points for example I will only have to chose between 2 touch screens.

Is there a reason there is a crop with 4K? I am wondering if there is more to it than just crippling to save other product sales, clearly there are far more pixels in the sensor that in any video format, so somewhere and somehow that has to be cut down, so it seems a software algorithm that is maybe easier to implement for 720 05 1080 than it is for 4k?
I don't think the AWOL ibis is a surprise and the single card slot is sort of in keeping with the Canon line as the R seems somewhere between 6D2 and 5D4, so I reckon there might be 2 more bodies, one to slot in beside the 5D and 1D series respectively.
Still, at least they have developed some proper glass, faster than f4!

Is the 1.6 crop only if using the EF-S lenses, with the EF lenses still giving fullframe?

How wil third-party manufacturers react on the different mounts? E mount is different from R-mount, so different new lenses? I need to know more about the future devolopments.

Nikon in my mind is heading towards the right direction. As I told other people, I stick to Nikon.
