Clearing a communication trouble on a full English keypad

Pull off 1 wire on your backup battery, that is located in your main alarm panel box or "The Brain" of the security system. Wait 5 mins and reinstall. This will force a communications test. Yellow triangle will be gone. This for sure works with a landline.

I did this, but my orange triangle is still there. It still says there is a communications problem though. The last thing we did was change the battery which stopped the constant beeping.

Just an update! For newer systems, seems you need to use "04" intead of only"4" ;)

When entering "4", it didn't trigger the alarm and the issue wasn't cleared.

Hi, have you ever seen the keypad flash FF? We had a power outage due to a storm and it came back up with flashing FF. I can't find anything online about it.

hello, and thank you for your tutorials.
I again have a fault 1-3 "general system fault" yet the alarm works correctly, commissioning, shutdown, ... sending to home automation on my app ...
it's happened 2 times already and I called an alarm company each time who disconnected the 2 x batteries and cut the main power supply and restarted the DSC, then the fault disappeared. The batteries are less than 1 year old and work very well
But apparently during a micro power cut?, the Orange default comes back
do you have any idea how to fix this error?

You should have said clearing a communication trouble on a DSC keypad. It’s confusing people coming over to damn ADT keypad trying to put a DSC code setting off alarm
