Ash Ketchum has been the star of the Pokémon anime for over 20 years, and he's finally leaving the spotlight. Before he does, I'd like to take a moment to look back at his journey, and really appreciate the adventure he gave to us.

I remember the day I watched the first episode of the Indigo League more than 20 years ago. Ash was a huge part of my childhood and I'm really sad his journey is ending. Thank you, Ash, for all the memories! I'll keep smiling like you always did

Ash has definitely changed my life. I hadn't even started kindergarten when I watched the first episode for the first time. And now, I've graduated high school, gotten a career, I might even buy a house soon. And Ash has been there the whole time. Him and Pikachu have been there in some of the happiest times of my life, and some of the darkest, and now their time is almost over. Godspeed, Pokémon Master. I'm sure gonna miss you.

I realized that the best aspect of Ash is probably how, while his shonen-based personality might not be much endearing for adult viewers, his growth across the series always made him relatable.
We saw Ash learning about things like controlling his emotions, opening up to the others even when their opinions are different and enjoying life for what it is: these are all fundamental lessons we are taught during childhood, but we're able to understand their deep meaning only after growing up.
Ash's characterization and story arc are perfectly balanced to make a character who, on a surface level, is enjoyed by kids, and on a deeper level reaches the franchise' most loyal audience; he's the ideal protagonist for a multi-generational series that always tries to appeal to many people as possible.

I feel the same and it's nice to hear it from another. A true pokemon fan would criticize the black and white series even on ashes way out lol, I'm right there with you. But don't you dare stop making videos though! Keep up with your abridged series, I live for that stuff!

Dude Thank you for making this Video it's truly a blessing in disguise that everyone loves this character so much. Ash reminds me of Klonoa little by little but I'm still currently watching season 2 of the original anime series. I love Pokemon series and watching Ash grow into a trainer it holds a special place in my heart🙏🏾
