I love when you make videos in your van alone, managing location scouting, tough weather, but still keeping a cool head and ending your day off with some rituals!! Commendable and really fun to watch! Must be really nice for female van campers to see!

I'd recommend you invest in some exterior storage (maybe on top of the van?) where you can keep a chainsaw, flares, emergency supplies, etc. then you can cut yourself out of a road, if needed, or if a tree did fall on your van you could remove it and have a chance of driving, and flares and emergency supplies, etc for if all else fails.

Whenever it gets windy, you really should stay put. It’s so easy for a light/empty vehicle to get blown over. I’ve seen it countless times. I’ve been driving truck 16 years. I park it if it gets really strong especially with a light load.

I watched other videos that experienced wind storms and what they did was point their van toward the wind so their van didn't rock back and forth as much. Animals provide a distraction that seems to act as a buffer. Glad you made it through it

We try to always take our smaller chainsaw along with us when camping in the woods (here in Oregon) to help with downed tree removal. Not sure if you have one, but it may be something to look into if not. Good to prevent you from being stuck somewhere. Hope you have safe travels! 😊
Side note: there are chainsaw operation hours during fire season in Oregon and requirements that go along with that. Good to check that info out before anyone decides to head out to the woods. Happy and safe camping to y'all!

Tip for rest areas for trucks, do not park with them... let them have those spots its not like they can park in the smaller spots
