Full Wave Bridge Rectifiers

Показать описание
This electronics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into full wave bridge rectifiers which are used to convert an AC sine wave signal into a pulsating DC signal. The electronic components used in this type of rectifier circuits are a transformer, 4 diodes, and a load resistor. To reduce the ripple voltage creating a smooth steady DC output signal - you should a shunt capacitor, an inductor, and a zener diode. The shunt capacitor will help to reduce voltage variations while the inductor will reduce variations in current. The zener diode serves as a voltage regulator.

I am taking an electrial engineering technician program and am currently in an electronics course. I have sat through hours of electronics lectures, done a bunch of practical labs and no one was able to explain this in such a logical manner. I am so glad I stumbled upon your video!! Thank you!!

This must be the best explanation of a bridge rectifier and the purpose of an inductor with in a power supply I have heard, Great Job

Finally someone explains why the current won´t go through the upper diode. It´s all about potential difference. Well done!! :D

No kiddin! Absolutely the best Bridge Rectification tutorial. Seriously forget all you have seen until now. All is taught with the voltage drops and the infamous "D" junction, where many newbies couldn't understand why the current followed D3 but not D4 though both diodes were on the + side... Kudos to the channel.

Excellent excellent When I was learning electronics in tech school (Ohio institute of Technology) in 1975, it took me a couple of weeks to grasp this concept. The teacher was just using a chalk blackboard ect. The graphics would have make it much easier to grasp, but it didn't exist. I haven't looked at this in decades, but I remember it. I also remember the struggle to grasp it at well. Excellent job!!!!

Dude. Thank you so much. The way you explained it step by step with the current going through the diodes was exactly what I needed to see.
