I really struggled with my weight and body image issues for a long time. I loved the body positivity movement and credited it with helping me learn self-love, gain body confidence, practice fat acceptance for myself, and be body positive.

But I also wanted to achieve weight loss. I struggled to figure out how to stay body positive and achieve weight loss. How to love my body while losing weight was a paradox to me.

In this video, I am going to share my weight loss journey of the weight loss mindset shifts I made. I hope my weight loss story helps you in some way answer for your own journey: can you lose weight and be body positive?

Finally something that makes sense to me. I’m all for body positivity but felt judged for wanting to loose weight even when it was genuinely for my physical health. I loved this message 💙💙💙

This video reassure me my goals to lose weight and build self love. The limiting beliefs are all my mind. Realizing that I can still love myself as I lose weight is not a bad thing at all. I want to be body positivity yet also take accountability of my health and physical activity. ❤❤❤

OH MY GOSH! This hit me like a ton of bricks (in a good way). As a woman we are bombarded with so much crap. You peeled this 68-year-old "onion" down several layers. I know that thinking about what you said will help me achieve my weight loss goal. I will be pondering on what you have said for awhile. I too had body image issues. I really do want to lose weight because I don't recognize the person looking back at me. But I am trying to change that! Thank you for sharing.

Omg because I get bullied and told I’m worthless and ugly and unlovable because I’m big but I always genuinely felt pretty and lovable even at my biggest so I felt like if I lost weight does that mean I agree with them? But this video reassured me

standing naked in front of a mirror & noting 3 things you like about your body might not work because for example i can do that right now & note that i like being a C cup, but if i lose weight i could go back down to an A & i wouldn’t like that, also i could note that i like having a big butt but if i lose weight i might lose it, so it’s not really super helpful because sometimes you actually LOSE certain things you like about your body when you lose weight. for example, the thing i dislike the most is my stomach, when i lose weight i will definitely lose my stomach ( which i’m currently unhappy with ) but it will come at the price of losing my butt & boobs lol, i think it would be more helpful to look in the mirror and pick 3 features you like about your face rather than your body bc no matter how much weight you lose the features in your face are something you will always have that can’t leave with weight loss, if that makes sense ..
