This movie is a big part of the story in a YA novel called _Viva Chicano!_ by Frank Bonham, who also wrote _Dinky Hocker Shoots Smack_ and _Durango Street._ It was just one of the books I dearly loved when I was a little sprat, and I wish I could bring it to life on the screen, along with Wilson Rawls' _Summer of the Monkeys, _ John R. Powers' _Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?_ and Clifford D. Simak's _The Visitors._ Oh, if only I was wealthy! _Viva_ Keeny!

Great filmmakers involved in a joke of a representation of one of the greatest heroes this planet has produced. I understand the film as an art medium and the target audience for this narrative. This movie, however, works as pure entertainment the same as Martin Corona with Pedro Infante did.

Totally brilliant movie. Highly recommend also Decision before Dawn and 12 o'clock high from same years. All have a real 'kick' at the end.
