Fun fact: Billie Jean garnered so much attention because it was rumoured that MJ was speaking about his real mother, as there were gossips of him being the step son among the Jackson Five, and that Billie Jean was about a very famous actress at the time who was his real mother. Paparazzi linked MJ to the woman being his lover but he wanted to clarify this without exposing why, hence this song.
Why? I don't really know, nor can I speculate on why he couldn't just outright say he was her son.
Maybe it might be because of his contracts at the time that his father was handling?

This is basically old songs usually get less views.. plus they were all uploaded when YouTube at had much much less users! Hence why under a Billion. They could easily have been 5 billion each once they were released if YouTube existed . extraordinary still that their views are growing and likely overtime will overtake artist from today .
