On Christmas Day 5 years ago, one of the greatest music artists of his generation passed away. In memory and honor, I’m ranking my favorite songs of the one and only George Michael 😇. I decided to compile a list of 20 of his solo songs and 5 Wham! tracks and make a top 25 this time.

It makes a change that someone never put Careless Whisper in top 25. I expected that Freedom would be the number 1. George once said in an interview people would think he had never written another song since Careless Whisper, that’s the song people associate with him. Even though in the Smooth Radio Top 500, he won it with that 3 years in a row, I personally would like to see him number 1 with a different song. He wrote great songs. He was a very talented man, genius

Good to do a top of George Michael but it is impossible to forget Careless Whisper and A Different Corner.

I love the fact that George had so many amazing songs to choose from. The wonderful thing is that each fan has their own top 25 . Some are the same as others and some are not. To be honest my top 25 are the songs that speak to me the most. The lyrical content and the arrangement is what makes it my favorite. Not necessarily what’s the most popular amongst the public.
