Attempt on Trump’s life ‘wouldn’t have happened’ if he was president

Former Secret Service agent Timothy Miller says the second assassination attempt of Donald Trump “wouldn’t have happened” if he was a sitting president.

The Secret Service is responding to a shooting outside Donald Trump's golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Republican presidential candidate has been reported as safe by his campaign managers.

“If this had been a sitting president, we would’ve had full coverage around the golf course and, thus, this wouldn’t have happened,” Mr Miller told Sky News Australia.
