You may as well be uninsured at this point. This is ridiculous. NJ lets you get $250k in PiP. $10k doesn't even cover a box of tissues at a doctor today.

So my take on this is that the insurance companies in a no-fault state lobby for these types of laws in order to sell premium insurance policies.
I've also learned that no-fault laws are way more absurd than I initially thought.

Wow, I learned more from this short video than I have from my attorneys. I was a pedestrian in the crosswalk with time on the timer. Car ran red light and hit me. There is video of me being hit, provided by FHP. I spent a year in bed. Multiple spinal fractures, knee fractures, wrist, elbow. The impact knocked me out. I'm unable to work. I still need more surgery and medical treatment but since I am unable to work now I can't afford the MRI or doctor visits... I learn in this video that I could have been getting proper treatment the entire time? My attorneys just blow me off every time I call or email! I am in excruciating pain, daily. Some days I can't even walk 5 steps without tears in my eyes

...if you use PIP too much, some insurance carriers will refuse to write a policy for you. So, you are forced to purchase it but you get penalized for using it. This makes little sence...but It's Florida. Nothing really makes sense there.

Thanks for explanation,
Question: I don't have a car and no PIP/PDL insurance, but I'm planning to rent a car in Florida.
Should I buy PIP/PDL insurance to cover the rental period?

🙋🏻‍♂️ Question PIP is per accident no per person in the vehicle, correct? I mean if there let’s say three passengers injured in the accident the $10K PIP is divided between the three passengers, right?
