Assuming an author gets the LCCN/PCN and sends a copy of their book to the LOC, how do they know if their book is selected to be shelved in the LOC? Thanks for all the great videos!!

I worked in libraries for 20 years, and we never added anything to our collection unless it had a library binding. Has that now changed, or how do you get around that? Have audio books changed all that? If it wasn't library bound, we had to send it out to the local bindery and that was an added expense and a consideration for us. I'd love to know if this has changed.
