You could probably go without that lm7805.. it's efficiency is around 70% only.. i would either connect that panel directly to mUsb (with a switch) or use any buck instead (there are some that give 5V 3A fixed output with 97% eff.)

Where on the booster module did you connect the wires from the voltage regulator? Looks like just under the USB port. Is this the same for all USB booster modules? Can you leave the link for this one please
