I cannot listen to this without tears. Just can’t. I was a twenty yr old music student at the time and I clearly recall being struck by the beauty of this piece. I listen to it regularly. Williams is the greatest composer of our time.

Williams is always so humble. I think part of this is that he understands the orchestra. It's never just the composer or the conductor, nor is it any one player, it's all of them together who can create the music. If Williams would sit in front of a computer and generate all sounds by himself maybe that humbleness wouldn't be so pronounced.

I had not known, until moments ago, that Williams had composed the theme for "SpaceCamp" as well. I started hearing similarities and then looked it up -- within years of the other. The man is a treasure.
