Finally cleaning the Race Week grime off of the Escalade. I haven't touched it since I took it off the trailer when I got back. Now we gotta get it all clean so I can get going on a new downpipe tomorrow. We also throw some new wheels on ole Uncle Rob to give a preview of what this Yukon Xl will look like in "Drag Truck" form!

Who do you think should drive it for Race Week 2021?

Regarding your poll about the GMC wheels: I agree with your sentiment. 👎🏻 I dislike them just like the Aztec 🤣

He has a Blue Escalade, a red GMC Yukon, and soon white Suburban. What an awesome line up and colors 🇺🇸🇺🇸

quick detail tip, adjust the knob on top of the foam cannon to restrict some water flow and the soap suds will cling to the car longer and not run off so quickly

I recently acquired the same car with those disgusting wheels! Mine is white in color, limo tinted the windows, and put a set of 20's on. Love it!

The new wheels and tires really look great! It changed the whole look of the car.

On our ATV drag bikes we buff the tires really thin, so of course they will then leak air. We use cheap laundry starch in each tire. I buy the gallon of it from Walmart. Seems to seal them up and not make a mess of the wheel when you change tires.

It is crazy how much of a difference a wheel change can make on a vehicle!! Good luck bro can't wait to see the progress..

Those wheels look badass with the drag slicks on I had the same wheels on my ‘98 GMC Sierra Z71 and totally transformed how the truck looked. Can’t wait to see more progress on the Uncle Rob Yukon!! 🤘🏻

Honestly your the reason I picked up a ragged out 2000 z71 Tahoe with the death knock goin on pretty cheap to try goofing around and try going fast with big turbo making some power turning all 4 tires, I have a decent amount of experience with full size singlecab pickups and Huron speed turbo kits, I sold the my small turbo 4th gen z28 as a roller and i finally finished my black with grey cloth interior 2003 single cab Sierra that i bought with 61, 000 miles from a 76yo dude it was basically a brand new truck but it ended up sitting for 3 years as a roller with just the suspension halfway done, it has a 403 based half filled ls2 summit ls pro 4" crank Callies ultra xd rods that i got very lucky on getting a amazing deal on and D.S.S fx pistons 1/2" head studs, a custom top secret LJMS turbo grind Morel lifters BTR pushrods, valve springs and trunion kit CNC'ed LSA heads and stock ls3 intake with a N.W cable style TB and Snake Eater bosch 210s and running on ignite e90 only at the moment. its the nicest and biggest ci bullet Ive built so far Im running a Huron speed single t6 kit with a mods and a Garret 91mm gt5591 and the turbo 400 and with a new 10" PTC converter specced by Dusty Bradford for the truck and the Holley efi and Hp ECU from my race car its stock style suspension besides relocating the shocks calvert leafsprings and caltracs strange double adjustables team z anti-roll bar kit my local chassis shop fabbed up they also fabbed up two chrome moly x shaped frame braces one is welded in under the bed the other is a bolt in setup under the cab and basically everything you can do to the factory rear end housing and filled with Strange everything yoke, axles, 4.10 gear, spool i went a little over board its lowered 4" outback 2" up front besides that the coils and single adjustable shocks and 1320 5 lug conversion setup everything else is pretty much stock. I have black and polished weld 17x4 Alumastars and 6 lug 15x11 single beadlock RTS s77's with stiff wall 28x10.5w Mickey's right now so far its been a best of 5.93 @ 124mph on a somewhat mild tune and 17 pounds with a long ramp I've only made around 20 pass's and still working on the short track not trying to be a dick and brag but its got a ton left in the 60ft. The goal was to build my dream (for my budget im not rich either) street/strip truck that can make a 100 mile round trip to the track bust off some 5.80s and drive home it actually came out way nicer and making more power than I planned and im 4 thousands from my goal e.t and so far I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere as long I carry plenty of fuel jugs full of ignite. Its still full interior but I have done lot of cutting and trimming under to lose weight and make more room under the hood and basically cutting anything not needed in places you cant see unless your under the truck Ive got it down to 4, 012 without me and 4281 with me, its getting a 8 point cage soon my goal is, ? was 4200 W/ me but unless I can get more weight out of it but i could deal with 4300 after the cage lol I'm running the aeromotive brushless 5 gallon pump from the race right now but after the cage its getting a Holley low ram 16 injector intake and 8 more Bosch 210s and a mechanical fuel pump so i can run methanol when itz party and run pump gas cruising

In regards to your detailing. You're doing fine man. I just rinse upwards to make the gritty dirt knock the rest of the dirt loose, then spray on some soap, let it sit for literally one minute at most, then rinse again downwards, from the back to the front (front to back or back to front, it doesn't matter) and then chamois it
