This video is very good, but Microsoft could make it better, because requiring customers to enter Sharepoint to be able to see an image in Power BI is not usual, especially when you have a very large network of users of a dashboard.

FYI the old way of doing this works for export to pdf/etc and also works for paginated reports. That way is to convert the image to Base64 binary string and then PBI will render it. Limits are on file size to about 30kb else it truncates image. I came here hoping MS had resolved this with a more straightforward solution.

Q: On the last thing which you mentioned, I wanted to ask if I don't want my user to refresh SharePoint online and still want them to see the images without authentication, how can I achieve it, given my organisation policy does not allow the SharePoint to be accesible anonymously?

good video!! But i dont know why, today all images isn't showing anymore. Im logged to sharepoint and the issue persists.... i clear the cache, coockies, everything and the problem still. Sorry if my english is bad.

After the report is published up to the service, the connection to the Sharepoint site is using your (the developer) credentials forever? That doesn't sound right. Does it use the credentials of the person who is running the report? In that case then the report users would all need to be given permissions to the Sharepoint site. That doesn't sound right either. How do you manage connections that require user authentication?

Hi! Great trick but I'm having an issue when exporting the report to PDF from PBI service. Images don't appear!!!! You can see them on the report but they disappear when exported to pdf!!!

Hello, the image could be view in PowerBI. But when you download to PDF it is the broken image that shows as it is in the desktop version. How can that be rectify.
