OneDrive vs SharePoint - DON'T make this mistake

It's a big mistake and I keep seeing it every week.

"We have moved all of our company data into OneDrive and it's causing us a few problems"

Your company data isn't supposed to be in OneDrive.

The clue is in the name:

ONEdrive (one, single) = your own data. You might store your payslips/expenses here or other bits of information you don't necessarily need people to see.

SHAREpoint (sharing) = your company data. You might have a Sharepoint document site for your marketing team or your finance department etc.

If you have gone in the wrong direction, it's all easily fixed.

I dont want to store my documents on either. But just on my c-drive but they make it so gard not to

Might sound an obvious question but would a document (word/excel etc) still be able to worked on collaboratively? Or is this a feature for documents shared from OneDrive only?

i have not installed microsoft SharePoint in my pc but i don't know why suddenly its starts showing on task manager? is it sharing something from my pc to another?
