World of Tanks: Maus Weak Spots

Question of the video: How do you think the Maus measures up to the other tier 10s? Even if you don't play it what is harder for you to kill, a Maus or another tier ten?

Feel free to post your opinion on this question would love to hear what you guys think.

Thanks form the weak spot location, everytime I play as heavy tank for some reason I get damaged every singal time but now I understand how they manage to penetrate my armor.

@MrKandalore As you say in the video penetrating a high tier tank really depends on the gun, not just where you shoot it. That being said the Type 59 has the lowest pen of all the Tier 8 medium tanks in the game (tied with the T-44). It wouldn't even take 2 Lorraine mediums to take out a Maus (an amazing 232 pen gun). Like you said this is irrelevant if the Maus has support, but if we're comparing T10's with each other I think it should be assumed that there is no support. Just my opinion

you asked some questions in the video description bar and i am going to answer, i find that tier 10s pretty easy to understand, USA tier tens have amazing frontal armor but sides and rear are weak, USSR tier tens are sloped and tend to be faster and have big guns, Germany tier tens have more thick armor all around, decent guns, and i have to be honest i like the Maus for a tier ten heavy, its more reliable then other tier 10s but its slow and cumbersome so it can flanked and picked apart

Better question: Does the Maus stand a chance against an IS-7?
Seriously, all an IS-7's gotta do to be almost invincible to the Maus is stay between 20-30 metres away from it (further or closer and he can hit your weak spots) and wiggle side to side a bit while reloading, so he can't get an accurate shot on your commander's hatch or optics.

World of tanks has something that a lot of games lack. Actual strategy. When you face the E100 against the Maus, with something so similar to each other it really more boils down to who is the better player, and sometimes a little luck. Its sad to say that most of the people who have a Maus only have it because they looked at its stats online and saw the 3k hp and roughly 300mm armor and thought: "this is obviously better" and are to newb to really use it properly.

depends in what tank you are sitting. dont find it scary at all once you have 240mm+ pen

just aim at the engine block and you will not only be able to penetrate quite easily with just about any tier 9 heavy/td, you will also damage its engine or maybe even set it on fire

I think other tier 10s are just different to the maus
Maus is well armoured
Its gun as a high dmg potential but the lowest pen of all the other tier 10s (i think)
so it is hard to kill but you may not be killed either :/

no kidding! that tier 4 light tank in the batchat line is ridiculous, can't pen it in a tier 3 or lower it seems

He's really not joking though... anything T7 and up is pretty much guarenteed to pen it. and T5 and 6's don't have that much trouble either. But if you want the basics, anywhere that's not the front of the turret or hull should get you some damage. It's problem is that it has no sloped armor anywhere, so shells don't deflect off.

For me the most hard to kill tier X tank is another Maus (i drive a Maus myself) and is an eternal battle. If not the Maus i would say the T30, T30 drivers are very cleaver, their turret is invincible and their gun is something that dont even a Maus cant ignore.

For those saying the Maus is the worst tier X, angled maus is invincible, their gun does the very same dmg of the IS7, is more difficult to use and is more tactical than IS7 or E100, but those make it better, Maus is the best X.

By the way. These colour enhancments are great to use. I am visually impaired so I am a good test subject for these kind of videos. Many tankers have no idea that folks with disabilities still want to plat WOT etc. I also use another app that give me some more magnification on sniper mood. Its not cheating as I would not see anything without it at distance! My average is only 47.50 to 47. 7 at best this year. Thanks again fdr all your help!

Even in an IS-4 I still quietly curse under my breath when a Maus turns up. Hard as nails.

You can spot bots by how they sit on spawn and turn their turret to shoot at enemies. Some will move a little but rarely in a sensical manner. Calling them out on it is generally a good way of checking, if they do respond they are probably just terrible players.

I play tier 7s right now, and the Maus is the scariest tier 10 because it is the only one I haven't been able to pen

Maus is pretty pointless as soon as the gold rounds start flying since those just penetrate absolutely everything. In regular matches it can be a force to be reckoned with, but usually ends up dead because of bad teammates, since this thing is not useful by itself. Much like a T95, it does best when working together with at least two smaller vehicles that can cover its sides and rear...
