I knocked it out once with M4A3E8 and it's APCR. It was alone next to my spawn, but all tanks of our team had little penetration. I flanked it but I didn't know where to aim. At the beginning I had more than 30 rounds of ammo. When i hit his ammo i had only 2 rounds left.

Have to remind panicking teammates with big guns to shoot the turret cheeks whenever they see multiple Maus on the field.

Fun fact: the left turret cheek is weaker armored then the right one

Don't forget about trap shooting if you have a strong gun put not enough pen. It's actually pretty easy once you practice it enough if you've got a friend to be your range target, an E100 turret works too.

You need to shoot at the lowest possible point where the turret curves, this place usually has the steepest angle and it's where most APHE shells ricochet at, giving you either a killshot on the ammo or decimating the crew if you're in the IS-2

M109s can kill the maus by shooting the front of the turret pretty much anywhere. They can kill Jadgtigers like that too, but not Ferdinands. I guess it's because of the roof armor, 50 vs 80, but the 80mm of roof armor is only a section, the rest is 50 iirc. Large caliber HE just seems really weird and inconsistent altogether imo.

As a Sweden player I’ve gotten the Maus a few times by hitting it on top of the turret with the Bandkanon

Me (in an IS-3) and a maus encountered face to face, we couldn’t pen each other. We spent, like 7min just disabling our cannons and tracks, until someone else killed him. I died to CAS shortly after.

As a maus user most of the time I get killed by plane with big bom

A little off-topic maybe, but i figured out that the Char 2C Bis is easier to kill when facing the right side, compared to the left side, because of the seperation in the ammo and propellant racks.

Despite how little armor it has, people don't seem to know how to take it out, same for the normal 2C
