Great to see that legendary Hasselblad is still releasing some great stuff!

I have the X1D2, love the high speed sync up to 1/2000 with Nikon compatible flashes and extremely long time exposure capability. If the rumour spec is real. That improves all the downsides of the previous model. Really tempting

I could definitely see myself switching from gfx if they can sort out the V mount lenses being able to use flash sync. I already happen to own nikon flashes so that is pretty great.

The new Hasselblad will have access to several leaf shutter lenses, one big factor that clearly separates it from the Fujifilm medium format options.

Mmmm if only we can get medium format 8K30p ProRes RAW video!

What about focussing? Does it have face or eye detection/ Does it have continuous auto-focus? I have an X1D what is the point of a continuous shutter/drive mode if the camera isn't re-focussing - always puzzled me that one.

I want one Simon :)

I like the "Handmade in Sweden" sign ❤

We need to know the internal read/write speed of that internal SSD. Under $8K? That's cheap for a Hasselblad.

DJI is killing it. They are my favorite camera company by far. Best gimbals, best drone best mics, best action cam

I feel this is the same sensor for the Fuji GFX 100S which I believe is more comparable in terms of specs, but definitely not the price!! The 40% extra markup is for the Hassie logo and that "hand made in Sweden" statement. Good to see another body with that sensor/size, hopefully the more mainstream they go the cheaper they'll get! That said, the price tag on this puts it in a very weird spot! It's mostly a mid- range consumer-level camera with a premium that's outside the realm of possibilities for many, except kids who have their own Ferraris and want to show off that they also shoot Hasselblad like daddy who has an H6D-400C.

That 1TB internal storage thing is because of DJI's ownership in Hasselblad at this point. I had one of the X1Dii's, and I just can't get enough of the files - but it overheated extremely easily when out in the wild, and I ended up going with a GFX100 instead. This is tempting to add, though. Curious to see if they've been able to mitigate the heat issue. I really hope they have.

I may get a upgraded Fuji GFX 50Sii if they replace the sensor. The lenses is cheaper for the Fuji. I still got a HB 503 CW and I need a digital back for it.

Don't compare it with GFX 100 but GFX 100s. I estimate the same speed and the same resolutions because the sensors are the same. Of course, Hassi has a better name and probably better handgrip. For me the lenses decide not the body at this time ;)

I have GFX100 for weddings - but green green green green - Fuji loves green - I came up from Hass X1Dii and 907x for quality - and it is there - all you could need for 100% crop - I also tried out at vast expense a 100c - which was too big for weddings - the X series was not quite there with 50mpx - would I go back to Hass at 100MPX - take my money

Built in cards add a measure of security, which photographer has never forgotten to reload memory cards! Looks like Fujifilm has a worthy competitor! Good Sir, are you saying adding video dose not necessarily add to the cost of cameras?

I have my invitation to the launch, for Wednesday 7th. I shall see what all the fuss is about then.

Honestly I am more interested in that lens with the engraved depth of field scale. That's a real tool in landscape photography.

I think you forgot about the GFX 100S, it ia also $5999. The original GFX 100 is old news and entered way to expensive. Regardless, if I had the money I would go for the X2D and the Hasselblad lenses. There is something stunning about Hasselblad images over Fujifilm... the 1TB internal storage is a great feature.

Hi, not sure why you mentioned the (older superseded) GFX100 at USD10, 000 when there is the newer, smaller form factor GFX100s at USD6, 000.

Calibrated sensor, not assembly line cranked out to meet the price point. Hassy color science dunks on Fuji plus the app and UI are not total garbage from a VCR in 1988
