GoPro Hero 7 Black Review for MTB Footage - Hyper Smooth, Superb Audio & Video and best settings

I'm so impressed with the GoPro Hero 7 Black. It's going to replace my Gimbal and seperate audio recorder, Hyper Smooth is amazing. Now the rides can be recorded with great audio and video using just a single device! No messing around in editing syncing things up, this is a game changer!

In this video I did a tiny amount of colour grading, and added a little sharpness but really out of the camera it is great.

Hero 7 is so good when its to set it up correctly! Pixelation is added by YouTube compression. Tip: use Chrome if your on PC / Mac for 4k and less macro blocking. Raw file is Much cleaner. Honestly one of the best reviews/demos I've seen of the new 7's capabilities for MTB. Top work! I think after seeing what the Rylo can do, the stabilisation can only get better.

i'm impressed with the way the camera deals with wind noise at high speeds, no annoying oversteering at all, in fact the wind noise sounds quite realitic and adds some feeling to the footage.

Great review Rob :-) What no one seems to be talking about it the horrendous YouTube compression which makes our 1080p, 2.7k, and 4K videos looks blocky and pixelated. For example go to 1:07 and look at the huge pixels on your shirt top, the trees etc.

I have the Hero 7 and really like it, but the footage gets destroyed with youtube compression. Of course there will always be quality loss, but this much of a loss is crazy in 2019 with the best tech on the market.

I have spent the past day researching as much as possible about this, checking out other biking channels, Skills with Phil, Seths Bike hacks etc and all our footage massively suffers, and I fear there is nothing to be done about it at present.

Such a shame as footage on the computer looks breathtaking, but on YouTube it looks terrible.

I'm convinced. I've been holding off buying an actioncam because nothing seems to be good enough. This GoPro 7 black is now what I consider good enough. By the way, the sound from your GoPro in this video is so much more clear and less muffled than some other reviews I have seen of this product.

Just bought the GoPro Hero 7 Black recently and I see now from this video it actually looks better and more natural without gimbal so that saves me money as I will not need it at all :). I can not wait to get home to my KTM 500 off-road motorcycle and ebike that is waiting to try it out ;)

Nobody has to tell me about how awesome the GoPro Hero 7 Black is, I already have one! What I am very interested in in this video is that E-MTB. Considering buying one myself, hearing when the motor is in use and when it is not gives me a much better idea of how they actually work. Awesome vid :)
