GoPro HERO 7 Review

In this video I review the new GoPro HERO 7 Black. The camera has better in camera stabilization then the HERO5 and HERO6 and closes the gap between a gimbal and software stabilization. The HERO7 Black also features TimeWarp, which is a very similar look to Hyperlapses and produces much smother video than just using the time lapse function. The camera is a solid upgraded over the HERO6 and features vertical video.

Does it shoot stabilised 4K, and at 60fps?

Nice video. The Hypersmooth stabilization even on 4K60fps is a big selling point for me. I record primarily underwater so gimbals are not an option for me.

Nice and informative video! If you have a gimbal you can do a quite good hyperlapse as well with hero6.

I had that same issue with my 5. I turned the sharpening to low, the videos look much better. It was over sharpening the pics and vids and they looked really bad

What about the audio....I have the Hero 5 and the audio is horrible. Never fixed in the Hero 6, overly sensitive body causes audio disruption when recording. Great video. With you covered the audio. I have a love hate relationship with GoPro....made a few videos about it.

As you mentioned about the super photo mode I think most people will use that more than RAW photo mode. When it comes to social media and editing off phone I mostly use the lightroom mobile app to adjust colours anyway but with raw photo mode it will take a bit longer to make adjustments specially with its larger file size. Maybe we’ll have to test it for a while to find out what’s more convenient. I guess it depends on what you want to use the photos for. Great question for discussion 👍🏼

I going get I've rocking my gopro hero4 sliver alot but last 3 months the wifi no longer works no matter how i tried to fix it so i think it's time finally upgrade to hero 7 black i can still hero 4 sliver for timelapse as camera still works fine just wifi doesn't. Finally Time for new one

It seems to me they ignored one of the most glaring weaknesses of the GoPro, the ability to use a remote mic. To have to buy that ridiculous adapter of theirs and then just let it hang out in space with no place to really put it is one of the sorriest design features of any product I've ever seen.

so the 6 was the only gopro I skipped after buying the hero 1.... is the trade off worth the price of selling the 5 and getting the 7 OR... keep the 5 and buy a session as back up/B role camera?
