Manatee Attack! Actual Speed. :-) Seriously though...

Manatees don't do much of anything fast if they don't have to. If you're patient though, and wait for them to come to you, they usually will. If you just go right up to them they will usually leave. This scarless manatee was slower than most when he came up to the clear canoe and fogged it up with his breath for a moment yesterday in St Pete, FL.

Poor Michael! The first Manatee got under his boat and flipped him into the water. Then the pod of dolphins pushed his See Through Canoe out of reach. As you can see in the video (some may find it too disturbing to watch), the Manatees then swarmed him, gumming him to death! The pelican dove into the water to eat the last little scrap remaining. It was all over before anyone could come to Michael’s aid.

You were a good little See Through Canoe-Maker, we’ll find another! Maybe one that’ll listen to ol’ Mister Drew! 😜

Manatees are great

Ya know down in Florida they normally Hang out in shallow water or canals and then they die because of boat propellers all because they try and look for food
