I grew up visiting Crystal River a lot. I've always loved getting out in the waters, swimming and diving in the many springs there. Also remember boating out into the Gulf to go scallloping. Good times remembered during my youth!

What a great view of these gentle giants. I saw a mama & baby while on Marco Island, FL! Just felt so special to actually see them. We met a couple staying in his family condo on the beach. He went for a morning swim & heading back to shore when suddenly he was surrounded by something big & smooth. It was the craziest feeling, he was freaked out - then they surfaced & lifted him out of the water. He said it was a group of manatees. IDK about them hanging in groups, but the most fantastic experience that I, ve ever heard of involving manatees. Your experience in the video would be the next with a clear kayak & such clear water is amazing!!! Just AWESOME!

I grew up doing this along the Weeki Wachee river ! The Weeki Wachee River is actually very close to Crystal River and we did the exact same thing.. you either went tubing or boating down the river, in the manatees will just come up to you and they get so close you can touch them. I remember one time I was swimming in the actual river and a huge manatee came up on me and I got so scared! All my friends told me to relax and just pet it and I did, and it ended up being an awesome experience

Beautiful.i've had a Manatee car tag for 30 years.the state used money from that fund to rescue a mama and baby trapped in a pond from a bad storm.i was glad for donating to a part of their rescue l.☮️❤️
