If companies provided 4G speeds (~100mbps) properly there would have been no need of 5G yet. But 4G speeds are usually little bit higher than that of 2G EDGE in India. So I don't think these "G"s are going to help further in the near future.

5G tech is actually more geared towards connected tech like smart home, cars, buildings, etc over people using it cause all these smart devices are demanding more bandwidth. That's why in 5G's case, the range is extremely limited but has massive bandwidth. I would say, people should demand more stable 4G network over 5G penetration because the benefits from 5G are long term and not immediate. And having a fixed internet connection/WiFi is better any day. Already in crowded places of our biggest cities, one struggles to even make a phone call during peak hours even on 4G so better improve that. Our video/internet needs haven't reached the level yet that demands the bandwidth of 5G in day to day life.

Very low download. and almost no upload speed. Towers are shut down during the night.. The 5G does not work in trains over in busses or in villages. Also, even in the cities, they promise that the game ping would significantly improve that. has not happened. We are getting same ping as we were getting in the 4G network.
