Synopsis: The Wheel of Time is one of the most popular and enduring fantasy series of all time, with more than 90 million books sold. Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.

For people complaining about the "you five" comment, you notice she doesn't say "one of you five could be the Dragon". Or "the Dragon could be any one of the five of you". She says "there is one who could stand against the Dark One, one of the five of you". It's Aes Sedai wordplay, not technically untrue, but not the whole truth by any means. She's not giving too much away of her own goals, while trying to inspire our main five from Emond's Field to come with her. The trailer also wants to avoid spoiling who the Dragon is for new viewers who haven't read the books.

Also technically while the Dragon does stand against the Dark One, and is crucial, it actually requires all of them at Tarmon Gai'don to play their parts for the Dark One to be defeated. It's not like a single person defeats the embodiment of evil on his own. Otherwise the series would have ended with the Eye of the World.

Basically I don't think there's any chance they will change the Dragon to be possibly a woman. The Dragon is a man. But Moiraine is an Aes Sedai and as such you should expect what she says to be typical Aes Sedai "technically true but worded misleadingly" statements. That's one of the most famous things about Aes Sedai and why they're seen as untrustworthy by many despite being physically unable to lie.

Best trailer yet, I hope the show will be good. I read a few people saying that the main character should've been taller because of his "race", (those who read the book know what I'm talking about), but the show is an adaptation of the book series, so who cares if Rand isn't 6'6 in the show.
