I'm a veteran with PTSD who hates fireworks and it's currently 1204am on New Years Day, you uploaded this at the perfect time! I'm wearing ear plugs w/noise cancelling headphones over my ears and you on full volume to block out the noise of the fireworks. Thanks for all you do in opening peoples eyes to food culture around the world!

Fun fact:
Beans in Oaxaca are super special because they are almost always organic or use natural bean seeds (non transgenic) and are seasoned with dry avocado leaf that when you try it will change your world

Just so you know, the drink at 3:50 is called Tascalate which is: achiote, milk, corn and toasted cacao beans. It's sweet and amazing.

Corn in Mexico is not a small thing. The corn plant was domesticated in central Mexico 9k years ago from Teocinte, an inedible weed. It was the gift of indigenous Mexicans to the world, corn was their creation but also their god, it was the food of great civilizations such as Aztecs, Olmecs or Mayans.

i honestly can't find a single country where food is as good as mexico's. It doesn't matter if its from a fancy restaurant to a street food cart, the food is just another level. I love it!

Ahh yes finally my culture! I am Mexican and this is my favorite video! By the way the brown liquid is called Mole (MOLE- LEH) It is really delicious and I love eating it on my birthday! Thank you so much for showing everyone different types of cultures! And religions! Fact: in Mexico they love to REALLY stuff up your food. They want to make sure you leave not with an empty stomach they want you to be really full! fact 2: In Mexico they sell their foods cheap because they love to give people food and satisfy their needs or cravings. Unlike other states or countries they have it more expensive. Also because not a lot of people buy from good carts they usually make everything at home because Mexicans don’t really like to buy stuff from anywhere.

In some regions of Mexico, the Nopal (cactus) is used to accompany Carne Asada (grilled meat) and taco related dishes. As Is the Cebolla Asada (grilled onion). It's why they keep serving it to you.

Fun fact.

The gringa was born in Mexico City, and indeed it’s called that because there were a couple of American girls that use to go to this taqueria and order flour tortilla, cheese and al pastor (the original is with Al pastor) and the taquero just made it for them every time, then people started ordering what the “gringas” had.

The Tlayuda (the giant tortilla) the first thing they put Tun is not sauce, it’s lard.
