I have been waiting for someone with mini itx know-how to review these new rtx mini cards. I knew it would be better than the previous 10 series but I am shocked at the thermals and acoustics. I was going to get a 2060 but now that I see these results I am seriously considering going for a 2070 mini. I use a NFC S4-C (S4 mini). I can't wait to upgrade from my Zotac 1060 6gb mini. Thank you for continuing the channel. You represent the best for the mini itx community on youtube.

This card has been out for more than a month and because I was following the "big" channels I didn't realize it was already available (they don't ever review mini ITX form factor cards) and I was anxious to get my hands on one of these as I have a very compact case. Props to you and your channel always putting the bottom line up front.

really good review overall. i would have liked to seen the tests performed with the panels on the LZ7 to get a better understanding of the thermals & noise that would be experienced in a more real-life situation. keep up the great work

Excellent vid. I would only ask you to add teardowns for people trying to use aftermarket coolers and thermal pastes.

Liked and subbed. Really liking the move towards micro PC's. Small form makes it easier to put off the side. Or taken about as a LAN box.

Good video. My only problem with the card is the noise, so I thought about replacing the fan with a low profile 120mm or 140mm. I think without the cover I should have just enough space. Would be interesting to see if this works before I try it myself.

Having watched this review a matter of months after I had first viewed Optimum Tech's review and showcase of MSI's Aero ITX 2070 has given me a clearer understanding of what to expect from Gigabyte's variant, as well as the performance gains that Zotac might have in store for their Mini ITX 2070 Super coming later on down the road (performance differences between the Mini ITX and FE 2070 Super might be about the same as their 2070 counterparts); the biggest issue with Gigabyte and MSI's Mini 2070 is actually the cost factor, where MSI's variant is now more than double its launch price on the US Amazon (mostly because all units I could find in New Condition were being imported from Japan, ranges anywhere from 0583 to 0836.25$ USD) and Gigabyte's variant is more ideal to get from either Newegg (if New) or eBay (if Refurbished), which fortunately can be anywhere from 04I2 (Refurb) to 0460$ (New), that is much more reasonable by comparison and why I will be opting for Gigabyte's version of the card when I do my upcoming Desktop Upgrade.
Right now, the plan is to turn my Hewlett~Packard Pavilion 590-p0057c from 20I8 into a Sleeper PC~style Gaming/Workstation Hybrid, which will feature resources such as the 9900 (No Suffix; yes, the Locked 08 Core Hyperthreaded Coffee Lake Refresh chip, as I don't ultimately need the 9900K if I stick with my H370 motherboard), Noctua's U12A Cooling Fan and Heatsink, Seasonic's SSR-850PX Power Supply (it is the only one that matches the dimensions of HP's proprietary Stratus Power Supply in the Pavilion "590" series), 032 GB of Dual Channel DDR IV Corsair Vengeance RAM clocked at 2666 MHz (if I get Gigabyte's Z390 M Gaming motherboard to go with this, then the 0I6 GB of Samsung DDR IV RAM that I have in the Pavilion currently will be used as well), and 09 TB of storage across two Seagate Constellation HDDs and one Sabrent NVMe SSD; the reason for why I intend to go with Gigabyte's Mini ITX 2070, as opposed to a Tesla T4, Titan RTX, or Quadro RTX is due to the Pavilion "590" series only being Eleven Inches in Width, which ultimately means that virtually any Graphics Card above ten inches will not fit in this casing, this can be blamed on how the Hard Drives and HP's proprietary Optical Drive are placed inside and thus the Mini ITX 2070 is the best reasonable compromise that I can make; fortunately, since the Mini ITX 2070 is only about 05.27 to 06% weaker than the Founders Edition at Stock, performance won't be much of a problem, this card is essential for any decent video rendering in Standard HD (I280x0720 and I680x0720) and will help out with video compression to the fullest, so my Pavilion will basically be Futureproofed for the foreseeable future once it happens, gaming and editing will become far more bearable beyond then. (:

Thank you for the recommendation! I purchased this card for my first sff build. I'm still waiting on the case so I have it in my mATX mid tower atm.

Good to see a video on this card i read a customer review saying it was unbearably loud, so this puts me more at ease, i think its the only mini with usb c for future vr so i wont be getting the competitions variants might still wait on navi tho.

Nice work, man. Glad somebody's paying proper attention to these compact form-factors. Between this and your earlier review of the MSI 1070 Aero ITX mentioned here (which first brought me to your channel), seems like you're the man in this category so far. Also very much appreciate your direct focus on noise as a specific point of concern.

I'm still worried about the overall longevity/reliability of Gigabyte cards in general, especially the fans, based on numerous negative reviews I've seen. Here's hoping MSI soon repeats with a competing ITX version of the 2070.
