Angle Grinder Hack - Switch discs without tools #Shorts

If you find yourself in a situation where you need to switch discs on your angle grinder, and does not have the 2 pin wrench at hand, here is how you do it without the tool.

All Youtube safety experts: You're welcome to comment all your safety tips in the comments below, everybody else, please just read these:

1. Don't do anything you're uncomfortable with. If an angle grinder is not your thing, don't buy or use one.

2. Always unplug it when changing the discs, no matter how you decide to change it.

3. I have never-ever experienced discs flying off the grinder. The disc will tighten itself when using it, also when you change the discs by hand like I show here. If you have a grinder that works differently, you should follow that grinders instructions.

4. Always put the safety screen on when using cutting discs. I do sometimes remove my safety screen because I also use soft polishing discs on my angle grinder. Again, if you are uncomfortable using an angle grinder, don't start using one without experienced help.

5. I'm not promoting any unsafe use of this tool. If you are an experienced maker, you know when you should have the safety shield on. If you are a beginner, ALWAYS have the safety shield on.

Be careful with flap disks you use for sanding. It's very easy to get metal splinters when giving that "whack"!

This made me laugh! Workmen in my country always seem to lose the tool to release the grinder blade, so they do exactly what you did !
