Fred Barrett, Ph.D., Associate Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic & Consciousness Research, discusses “The Cognitive Neuroscience of Psychedelic Drugs." The lecture was recorded March 23, 2023, at the Psychedelic Summit on the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento, California.

The UC Davis Psychedelic Summit brought together national experts to explore what the rapidly evolving field of psychedelics and neurotherapeutics may mean for neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases. These new treatment types may hold promise for anxiety, depression, substance use, obsessive-compulsive and post-traumatic stress disorders, among others. The event was hosted by the UC Davis Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the UC Davis Institute for Psychedelics and Neurotherapeutics, and the UC Davis Behavioral Health Center for Excellence.

dreaming generally goes best with quiet sleep. Psychedelic material goes in that direction. Best to correlate the two. Is dreaming real in relationship to physical death? Real as in repeatability, or address known.

Are there any observations of helpful effects for long covid??? which as of 2024 has been thrown in the pile of shoulder shruggs of "we don't know". The pile of post viral syndromes like me.cfs which have no cure or great symptom solutions. ANy developments to reset viral damage in the brain and nervous system would be helpful.
