I usually post my new music on friday, posting one today (its friday) 🙏 but im not big enough to have Spotify and so on, so I only post on youtube and some on soundcloud. Maybe in the future ill be in demand and use spotify

makes no sense to me because friday is more than oversaturated with major acts plus, most of us can´t choose the exaxt date when it´s gonna be published on Spotify so it´s kinda random if it´s out there on friday or nah

Great advice Devvon! At the same time tho, I released a song on Monday and it still got on the Radar on Friday! The song did better than my previous releases. Also, you gotta consider that if you're an unknown artist, a lotta people are going to listen to bigger releases before considering your track. That's just my two cents tho!

im not sure that this is completely accurate. a lot of people will look at release radar on friday because they know it updates on friday. so, if you release on a wednesday, a portion of the streams might be delayed until the nearest friday. delayed, i say, because a lot of the time, your song will still end up in your followers release radar, once it updates. not sure about the other spotify editorial playlists, but this is just my experience with release radar. in addition, keep in mind that with releasing on fridays: everyone releases on fridays. if youre not a well-known artist, fridays might not help you that much. the music drop on fridays is so saturated, your music will get lost.

Yo Devvon! Can you do a video tutorial for the Weeknd’s vocal on Too Late from his latest album? There’s a double on his lead vocal that sounds like a flute-synth-like effect that makes his voice sound super crisp and pure. It can be especially heard at 2:16 - 2:46. Any ideas on what they might have used to get that effect? I have never heard anything like it, it’s heavenly.
