Thank you so much!!!! I had surgery as a child, it didn't work. Honestly, I never knew, as an adult, that I could have surgery. I was always under the impression that I was just stuck with it. I don't know why I believed that. I can't believe that I'm scheduled to have this surgery in April 2024. I can't wait. This video really helps, I can't thank you enough.

I did had an eye surgery too when I was already 30 years old. It was done too late I already missed a lot of opportunities, a lot of good things. I was living with inferiority complex then, I was an anti-social that I was even mistaken as one with mental disorder. I gain my self confidence after that surgery.

Thank you SO much for this video. I searched all over the internet trying to learn what it will be like once I wake up. I had no idea what to expect and your video really, really helped me face the surgery I'm going to have tomorrow morning. Am I still scared - you betcha - but at least now I have a feeling of what to expect. I'm 54 years old and am hoping I made the right decision.

My daughter who’s about to turn 4 has an upcoming surgery and this whole video is very helpful in many ways! I think the upcoming challenge is me worrying about her age and not understanding what’s going on or explaining how to get her to follow the correct methods after surgery without stressing her out

Love this. Thanks for sharing. I’ve had a bit of a lazy eye since I had an eye blinding injury when I was 13 and a couple years ago, I got realllly high and it temporarily straightened my eyes to perfection and it was really trippy to see that for the first time.

Thanks so much for posting this video. I'm having my surgery on 6/23/22, and this has helped me feel more prepared and a bit less nervous. I appreciate your showing real photos/videos of your recovery as well!

I'm happy for you that you took such a bold step and I'm happy for you the way you are. I really feel for you because I had my first surgery and I can't say it if it failed but it was not the result I expected.

Thank you so so much for this highly informative video of your journey. Your eyes look perfect now. I lost vision in my left eye in 2012 due to the worst case scenario of intracranial hypertension. My eye only started to turn outwards in 2017/18, i’ve been receiving toxin injections since then to straighten my eye but over the past 2 years the injections stopped working. My confidence keeps getting knocked! So now I’ve been put on the waiting list for this correction surgery. I am so nervous and as adult I worry that my eye will stay permanently in the inward position after surgery but the consultant informed me that more than one surgery may happen. Thanks for this.

Recovery part is very strange, because every time you want to look your eyes, to see how it looks, just a matter of time to get the good results. Thank you for Sharing.

I'm so glad I found you! I really appreciate everything you said. My 6 yr old daughter needs to have surgery on both eyes Feb 13th. I will have ice packs and everything else you mentioned ready. Anything else I should know? This will be her 7th surgery in total and second one around her eye. She had ptosis surgery in September 2024 so ice packs helped her a ton. The good news is her vision continues to improve but recently her left eye is drifting out far more often. I plan to keep her out of school a few days but if she's dizzy and just not doing well, I'll keep her home a few extra days.

Thank you for this! My eyes were straight in few days and started moving outwardly. Doctor told me not to worry about it. Your video has really helped. This is my 8th day

I had surgery to correct a significantly turned right eye when I was almost two years old. Although the strabismus was corrected, I have amblyopia in that eye. Indeed, the vision is so impaired in the right eye that I cannot read and cannot recognise faces using that eye. My strabismus returned about two years ago, along with age related cataracts in both eyes. My optician has referred me for a consultation to discuss correction of the turned eye (it is the right eye). The information in your video has made me decide that I will not elect to have correctional surgery, if that is offered. This is a very personal decision, based on my age, the vision loss in the turned eye, and the fact that I have other eye conditions to consider. I know for many people, surgery will have immensely positive outcomes. Thank you for being so honest and sharing your experience.
