That was probably the coolest delivery of the "true to caesar" line in the game

Ah Dead Sea. A great warrior. First time I met him, thought he was just some hard ass. Tolerated him. After massacring Forlorn Hope, and when he gave his prized sword to me, I couldn't help but respect him. And when I tried to give it back. He said he'll earn a new blade by seeking greater achievement. Can't help but admire the guy. Legion has a lot of awesome characters.

There's more dialog options if the protagonist is wearing legion armor.

This is so good. Someone should make a mod that forces this dialogue when you encounter Dead Sea during the NCR ending of this quest

That’s funny because I’m currently replaying NV for the umpteenth time and just played this mission yesterday, I killed all the Legion soldiers outside and walked in to that building, I was immediately about to just start shooting when I realized they weren’t hostile, I walked up and initiated this conversation, don’t think I’d ever had this happen before.

I think after like…27k hours in New Vegas will I know everything about the game but even then.

Indeed, I didn't know this dialogue existed. By the time I do that quest, I always already have a lot of infamy with the Legion, so this dialogue would never initiate. The way he says, "True to Caesar, " is chilling.

Damn, they really whipped out a special encounter for doing a very specific set of things. Obsidian's really crazy.

I skipped the dialogue by blown Dead Sea's head even before he could pull out his weapons in all of my run.

His machete is very good at giving me some caps at Cliff's place.

"True to Caesar." That was unnerving. But he sure did not have a chance against my Gobi Scout sniper rifle.

You don't talk to Legion pigs. You straight up butcher them :)

I almost had this dialogue unlocked when I attacked Nelson with neutral rep to Caesar, but I opened VATS so quick and one-shotted him with a Holorifle before he can speak. Explains why the other Legion members in the room became bugged and unable to attack after I did that.

The only time I let him talk is to active the quest needed to become Khan's King.

This triggered after i killed a scout but they still remained neutral towards me (didnt know about the fallout nv's reputation system because i thought it was like fallout 4) until i went inside the cabin where dead sea presented me a dialogue i thought it was a friendly so i asked him the" who are you?" Option and after that i was confused to why they attacked me i think it was a bug

I did Nelson straight after meeting Caesar.
So my reputation was neutral by bearing the mark.
I got the dialogue, but I thought nothing of it.

Courier: "Fool that you are, Dead Sea, because I'm actually ten NCR veteran rangers in an armored vault 13 jumpsuit."

You could go in and talk with him if you're accepted by the legion

I've had a run where he is friendly and does not attack bc death to the ncr
