How to duplicate objects in Blender? How to create linked duplicates? Linked duplicates are objects that share data which means if we edit one, we edit all of them. I'll show you how to duplicate an object with and without linked data. We will cover the different Blender shortcuts for duplicating and linking objects.

Does anyone realize how great this video actually is? It is short, easy to understand and strait to the point.

Hi, thank you for the good video, but i have a question.
How can i male the modification in specular way?
If i do alt+d and i change the right side of the mash the copy will be modificated on the left

Hay alguna forma de hacerlo sin duplicar los objetos?

how to do that for multiple strokes within the same object?

how come after i make the copy, i move the duplicate object and it immediately rescales smaller once the anchor point leaves the boundaries of the original object?

These short, straight-to-the-point videos are fantastic. But for this one, I'm a little confused. When you talk about linking objects, you have only one object selected. You alter it, and THEN talk about linking to a series of duplicates, which aren't selected, but they magically change in relation to the original object when you alter that one. I think there's a step missing. Maybe one in which you select ALL the objects and THEN perform a step that links them.

The Shortcut is Alt+D, not Shift+D. To me work like that.
