Maybe it's a lot of money for you, but the easy way to be just with one driver going and doing all I need to do is very convenient for me, besides knowing that my driver is getting compensated fairly

Comfort cars...I am out since I drive a Prius even though I am in the Phoenix market. Riders want cheap rides...no one will request this. Riders will continue to request Uber X and then expect the driver to wait at various stops while they go in a store “for a few minutes” or can I now change my destination...I need you to drive me here instead otherwise they will complain to Uber, make up a bs story and try to get the driver deactivated.
End result...Uber has done another blunder and no one will request this and some drivers will consider getting a comfort type vehicle hoping to make the $36+ per hour and then 3 months down the line, their “next great idea” will be cancelled and the driver will end up stuck with a bigger, less cost-effective car. Laughable!

30 to 40 miles. That's a lot of miles, gas, depreciation, wear and tear. It's still not worth the $36/hour unless the person didn't go too far and has some errands to run locally or something and most of the time you just wait for them without using much resources

I wont opt in. I dont want to be stuck with anyone that long. The way the surge has been going lately, I'll take my chance with that.

I actually had someone pay me to be off the app $50 for a ride that was 45 minutes. Winner.

This Bullcrap for a driver who is Uber fooling

This will only attract the limo/black car segment. I'm in a mid-sized city and the going hourly rate for a limo is around $100/hr so Hourly would be serious savings.

Unless or until Lyft provides full weekly gross ( all fees, taxes, tolls, etc ) actual weekly / monthly earning are a real challenge for some, especially the retired.

This appeals to us older folks that don't want to drive.

I drive black suv in New York City. I charge more than this for my private clientele I've built up over the last 3 years. I think Hourly will do great in a market like this with people visiting solely for business meetings and event planners, but this $50/hr will undercut my business outside of Uber with these cheaper prices. This will force me to take Uber hourly requests or lose out altogether. $50/hr is cheapest you're going to find in NYC.

Uber is behind the curve. Five Star Driver Networks has offered this service for at least 3 years. $50.00/hr does not work, especially with all the limitations and restrictions.

This is bullsht! The whole point to.not doing rideshare is covit-19 to keep from catching it.
At the same time this only allows the rider to take advantage of the driver by allowing them unlimited trips and picking up other people and eating and drinking in your vehicle.
This 50.00 per hr does not state how much Uber fee gonna take afterwards.
They will reduce this 50.00 per hr as they did before with drivers in the past once people get adjusted to it.
Uber screwed drivers with their rates before just to save their own as and this is so they can do it again. (Comfort Cars) Riders not going to enjoy paying 50.00 plus on rides after paying lower cost which gives them reason to expect more from the driver.

Those who will do it good luck but dont be suprised that rate go down to normal once you get adjusted to it and riders still expect same treatment.

The concept is that of a Limousine service, except a actual limo service would have a 3 hour minimum

There are riders for every market. In Miami, you can find riders that tip you $50

It's still not safe to drive and have passengers in the back seat of my car. This option does not bode well for us to sit in the car & waiting up to an hour....no thank you.
What is the definition of a "comfort car"?

$50 it's a lot of money in Mexico. When was the last time you went shopping for groceries?

It will be cool until riders start acting like they own you for the hours you are attached to them ugh, what are the hourly rates for a Limousine these days?

Interesting..I just saw this in the Uber app..I'm not driving right now, but plan to soon. I do qualify for this comfort level feature and most likely will try it out..its good to know that I can opt out of it too. 36 per hour is not bad money for driving. Now that I think about it; it sounds kinda exciting to try out.

If i were a rider I'd just request an UberBlack and barter a less rate off the platform. They carry commercial insurance and better ride.

If you get $36 After 28% out of $50 its not bad but if its 28% out of $36 its $25/26 that not all that good.
