BAD ADVICE !!! I don't know about other states but this is a FELONY in Texas under Penal Code Sec. 16.02. Had a friend get himself with serious legal problems after he left a pocket recorder in his coat in the employee
breakroom at his job. He recorded two coworker
gossiping about him. He sent the recordings to supervisors, they contacted the Sheriffs Office and charges were filed on him. A good rule of thumb is that you cant intercept or record a conversation that you arent present for or part of.
