Use Live Listen to spy on people WITHOUT Airpods !

People have been using their Airpods with their iPhone to potentially eavesdrop on conversations and spy on people! However, what a lot don't realize, is that you don't even need airpods. This seems supported on a lot of bluetooth devices. I tried it on my Bose QC35.

Thanks to you my 95 year old dad uses Live Listen with his Apple AirPods and his iPad (he got a year or so ago) when people visit so he can hear them. We put the iPad near the person speaking or in the center of the room, turn on Live Listen, put in his AirPods, and that’s it. It works almost as good as the high-end hearing aids that cost a fortune.

Do you think it will work with an external (wired?) mic aswell? Thus one person can wear phone and mic and talk, second person airpods/hearing aid and receives talk amplified. Would be a great solution for bike rides and such. Thx.

I think you need to connect a pair of AirPods first. Then move to another Bluetooth device for it to work.

Works with my crappy old cheap blue tooth headphones ...result 🤣🤣🤣🤣

If you use it with any other Bluetooth headphones it actually gets the audio from your phone instead of the actual headphones and also if it doesn’t work for you with other headphones just keep tapping the “Unavailable for current route” and it should work so basically you can leave your phone anywhere and as long as your Bluetooth headphones are connected you should be able to hear any sound your phone picks up thank me later 👌

Reminds me of when field reporters all of a sudden takes their IFB (interruptible foldback) because of the delay in satellite feed it’s annoying to talk while listening to remote studio feed back via ear piece. To by pass it they just call over their phone instead of feeding satellite feedback. Just thought I’d comment that. Thanks for the video, very informative. I wonder if we can try this via Mac to record conversations 🤷‍♂️

It has to have a microphone on the headphones so it can pick up sound and amplify it through the headphones right?
