so if asked if co-repressor binds to operator would that be false? because it is the repressor protein that attaches to the operator due to activation by the co-repressor?

This is an incomplete, or even misleading description of this pathway. No mention of loops, or rna pol, or translation. Would be helpful to have a video talking about the trp operon in the context of those things to emphasize attenuation.
