the fact that iBuyPower is still using full ATX cases for mini-itx and micro-atx motherboards is insane. Full ATX cases are literally more expensive. Another question is, why are t hey still in business?

Not to necro comment on an older video. But I just had a similar issue with one of my side fans on an iBuyPower Hyte Y60 case.

It started out with the same annoying rattling sound that if you pushed on the fan at times would make it go away, until it didn’t. Eventually the fan locked up and wouldn’t spin no matter what.

I too ended up replacing all 3 RGB case fans with some A120 V2 fans and that’s when I noticed that even my case had a similar messy wiring arrangement. It took an hour at sorting through the existing wires just to figure out which went where. As they used the same wiring for the side and rear case fans as they did the bottom case fans.

Anyways it’s all sorted now and fixed. Thanks for the short as I thought it was only my case that had the messy wiring from iBuyPower.

I have 2 of those p12 max fans on my cpu cooler, at full speed they move some serious air but they make a high pitched whine due to the dual ball bearings

You could have repaired the fan by simply peeling back the sticker a little bit on the back of the fan digging out a small hole with a box cutter into the plastic till you see the wheel bearing and add adding a couple small drops of oil lube

The p12’s was nosier than my stock fans. Blew tons of air but is loud asf.

Mother board having 2 fan headers isn't a sign that its cheap its a sign that its old. thats a socket 1151 mobo and all fans have a life span. this issue has nothing to do with ibuypower and everything to do with the system age
