That guan yu crit build was unbelievable. I wasn't using it at all because of the HP penalty but after trying the crit build I defeated hades during the first time I reached the surface with guan yu! Thanks!

So I found this video and tried out the spear build. Wow that was effective! Thank you for so clearly explaining not just these builds, but the general philosophy of how to come up with an effective build given how much randomness there is in this game. I can't wait to try your advice on the other 5 weapons -- and I am absolutely subscribed.

Zeus shield + Zeus special is also a pretty good combo. Can rack up some insane damage with the lightning.
Minotaur rush is also really good on shield if you can get the timing down.

BTW, Tidal Dash should be just be Splash Dash at this point, it's so much better

My favourite build atm is Arthur's sword with Aphrodites attack boon. The damage reduction is insane.

I think hades spear is underrated. Charge your spin before enemies spawn to delete everything, or almost everything and then start quickly stabbing them for 150% extra damage. Also really fun and simple

I've just started playing not long before, about ~30 attemps in. My first experience with Rail was a hammer upgrade where your special deal 300% damage but can friendly fire. That's the build that take me the furthest til now ( die to act III duo bosses ). In my beginner view, that might be the easiest build to execute. Just grap Athena's Dash boon, Hermes's faster special boon, and anything that can boost your special. Dashing around while raining down massive amount of EXPLOSION onto the enemy. The damage is ridiculous, i was going through each phase of the Furry sisters and Hydra in 1~2 bomb.
