I planted mine last week. They sprouted yesterday. So exciting! I am in Missouri. First time planting from seeds I always planted bulbs onions. They never have done very well now I know why! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Started onion seeds Jan. 15th for the first time. I'm in zone 5a North Central PA. 2 varieties of long day Spanish onions from Renee"s and High Mowing. Looking good so far. Could not wait any longer to get growing. Tired of building bird houses! Have started Kale and . 4 kinds of tomatoes from saved seeds .Starting nevada lettuce, broccoli, peppers etc... I wish Feb. weather would return. We have received more snow in March so far! Enjoyed your video. Don"t worry about the barn.

I'm also in Ohio, zone 6a (O-H) but I've never had luck growing onions. I started them from seed last year, Ailsa Craig, in January but never got those huge onions I see others harvest even though I followed all the advice. I'm going to try one more year and then may call it quits if it doesn't work again. Thanks for the reminder!

My great uncle Bernard was a potato farmer - he stored his potatoes and onions in creates he made from pallets - this allowed for good airflow and used materials he had hanging around
