I always go the extra mile and concrete, glue, nail, and screw the flooring down. I like to make sure the neighbors won't steal it

They look great. My only when in the future (20 yrs?) Removing them would be quite difficult.

Omg, the sound of the pound and hammering is satisfying. Wish, I could just volunteer and do this.

Can you do the next video on how to remove that shit? I'd pay to listen to the demolition crew saying "what kind of asshole did this?"

Time to scroll and see the “Experts” debate on how it’s done

We are renovating our house now and they want to glue the wood floor directly on concrete without any prep work like primer or film for moisture, should i let them continue? Contractor is saying their glue exceeds the capabilities of a primer for moisture and i dont even know if thats a thing. Have to take a decision as they are coming tomorrow and im not sure if i want to allow it getting installed just like that. If we do are we risking the wood floor lifting in less than 7-8 years?Any suggestions?

I got my own white oak just like this I got about 500 sq feet of it and. 300 sq foot living room I want to install it in …about half of it was left in the rain and barely warped about half less than a quarter of an inch of a bow to it can I still make this work without glue ? It’ll bow down but holding it down is my issue I got padding for underneath but not glue of course I’m nowhere near a pro it’s a diy just need a pros insight

i particularly like the extra few hits on the chamfer, it's always nice to have a few divots between the strips, nice work with the glue spots too

I like the traditional 2”x12”x3/4” thick solid teak in parquet pattern asphalted down to the subfloor.

Getting a different secret nailer will help so much, mine has a much longer handle and is heaps faster..

I had both engineered hardwood where they just nailed and one where they glued and nailed. The glue and nail’d floor never made a sound when walking on it. No creaks, pops, nothing. The nailed floors would crack and pop constantly when walked on.

I used to glue down- I was told floating floors are crap. It’s not true- floated floors just as good and much easier to change

That floor needs to breath lol
Why staple/cleat if your full spreading..?

I think the takeaway from this video is to avoid any flooring product that takes this much energy to lay when there are literally hundreds of others that just snap together and stay there.

Imagine if the customer doesn't like it and you got to rip it up.
