i've been tracking my vo2 max on my apple watch for a couple years. since i started conciously breathing through my nose, my vo2 max has been steadily declining. i'm wondering why this is happening.

Can you elaborate on what is the point of feeling this breathing hunger? I did the exercise and felt it but kept on wondering what is the actual goal of doing this. Thanks in advance!
